  56.   I can't seem to get DARETRO to work... I have a 386dx-25 with 8 Mb of
  57. ram and a trident 8900c video card with 1 Mb and dos 5... Even with a
  58. bare boot disk, this program will just clear the screen and that's it,
  59. the computer hangs.... Yes, I DO have a GUS (1 Mb)... This same program
  60. works on another 486sx-25 (cirrus logic video card, 256k GUS, dos 5), so
  61. the program is intact...  don't have any problem with any other
  62. renaissance stuff I've tried (including GUSMOD and P669GU0)... And when
  63. I had a SB, Unreal and others worked no problem.... so something's
  64. strange here... anybody have an idea?

  66. Re: the idea to have a demos newsgroup, I'm all for it... I don't have
  67. FTP capability, but (obviously) I do have access to usenet groups like
  68. this through a local bbs... So something like a demo discussion group
  69. and a (uuencoded I assume) demo binaries group would be terrific...

  71. Hear rumours a while back the future crew was going to bring out a new
  72. version of Unreal with GUS support?  Can anyone confirm?

  89. I have heard a few rumors about an 'Ultra Chuck Yeager' that will have GUS
  90. support.  Is this the the same thing that Gravis is currently offering
  91. for $14?  I would like to believe that 'Ultra Chuck Yeager' will be a
  92. 'Chuck Yeager ][' of some sort, but my friends seem to think that it 
  93. will be a regular 'Chuck' with GUS support (thus the word 'Ultra').

  144. Just a little note about Gravis prices: It's interesting for us
  145. but is their ram upgrade price a joke: to go from 256 to 512K,
  146. they charge 14$ CDN + shipping (and probably TAX). Some weeks
  147. ago, I upgraded from 256K to 1MB and it cost me only 30$ CDN +TAX,
  148. that make 10$ to go from 256K to 512K. At that price, who do you
  149. think will buy their memory from gravis?

  164. just downloaded the newest version of winjammer, configured it with the
  165. Ultrasound MIDI Output Port and the Ultrasound MIDI Synth as output ports
  166. and Ultrasound MIDI input Port as the input port and it will still not
  167. automatically load patches for me.  could someone tell me what i'm doing
  168. wrong?
